Playstation to partner with Antstream

Antstream Arcade, the world's biggest retro gaming streaming platform, is now coming to PlayStation 5 on September 6th and has been announced straight from the horse's mouth over on Antstream Arcade's website.

For retro gaming enthusiasts, this is a huge deal, as it allows gamers to have access to over 1,600 classic games at their fingertips that can be played on their current-gen PlayStation 5 consoles.

You have the option to pay an annual fee of £39.99 / $39.99 / €39.99, or you can opt for lifetime access at £99.99 / $99.99 / €99.99 (available for a limited time only). This allows you to stream all the games to your preferred device.

The full game list is available on Antstream Arcade's official website (Antstream Arcade: Play over 1300 Classic Retro Video Games). The catalog covers everything from the 8-bit era of gaming (NES for example) up until the 32-bit era, (PlayStation 1 and N64 era) although it seems the newer the console the fewer games there will be available. Antstream Arcade seems to heavily focus on the older titles at the moment, but the service seems to be an ever-evolving streaming service that will be continuously updated.

Are you excited to try this streaming service out? Do you think it’s worth the money? Are you not too interested in retro games? Would you rather own the original copies for collection and replay-ability over a subscription for a streaming experience? Let us know and make sure to follow Savepoint Digital for more gaming and retro news and reviews!
